  • IDIS-supported Innovative Surveillance Protects Mesa’s Thriving Arts and Culture Center

At more than 21,000 sq. feet, the $95M Mesa Arts Center is among the largest arts and culture centers in the U.S., serving as a gathering point for the region. Open areas and the presence of an adjacent light-rail station keeps the campus busy at all times of day, including outside business hours. The size and complexity of the center and the need for 24/7 comprehensive surveillance makes traditional security solutions cost prohibitive. IDIS partner SARC’s innovative virtual surveillance approach, supported in part by IDIS technology, proved to be the answer to complexity and cost challenges. More information can be found on the Case study section of our website.

  • IDIS turns summer spotlight on retail surveillance applications at NRF Protect show and beyond

IDIS America spent the month of June highlighting the many applications of the IDIS Total Surveillance Solution for retail end-users of all sizes, including with a successful appearance at the NRF Protect Loss Prevention Conference and Expo in Dallas, Texas. The relevance and benefits of the full line of latest-generation IDIS technologies—including the IDIS 12MP Super Fisheye, DirectIP™ DR-1204P 4CH FHD NVR, VA in the Box analytics solution, and the company’s new HDMI/VGA Encoder—to the retail space, specifically the flexibility, scalability, and low total cost of ownership of IDIS technology (all highly interoperable with existing legacy installations and offering many backward and forward compatibility guarantees) were featured at the show and on social media throughout the month.

  • IDIS continues to build on the Total Solution with new technology on the way

IDIS’s new premium DirectIP™ 4K NVR 8400 series takes IDIS signature quality and performance to new heights, bringing together the features and benefits that have made IDIS a leader in ease of installation, and use, reliability, and performance. The 8400 series UHD NVRs feature H.265 support with bandwidth and cost saving Intelligent Codec functionality (utilizing H.265, IDIS DR-8400 series enable you to save up 50% storage space compared with H.264 recording) and are fully optimized for stable, high performance across all network devices, ensuring seamless and simultaneous UHD live viewing and UHD recording. RAID 6 (RAID 1,5,6,10) protection protects data from being lost because of two simultaneous disk failures, and IDIS Critical Failover features protect valuable surveillancedata and operations in a number of ways, reducing data loss and response times.

  • IDIS’s upcoming AL-1112 alarm box will expand the alarm capabilities of users' surveillance networks with an additional 8 sensor inputs and 4 alarm outputs. The additional capabilities can be utilized even when no cameras or NVRs are present, by connecting the AL-1112 to IDIS Solution Suite , perfect for the integration of access control systems. DirectIP support ensures that the integration of these additional inputs and outputs is quick and effortless, minimizing the installation and setup time. Detachable terminal blocks further ease setup, making it easy to connect the sensors and alarm devices regardless of how the AL-1112 is mounted, while easy-to-read front-panel LED indicators quickly show the status of all alarm inputs and outputs.

  • The new IDIS DirectIP™ 28 Ports Gigabit PoE Switch DH-2328PF debuts later this summer, offering a total of 370W of power to PoE devices as well as, power on/off control for each PoE port using DirectIP NVR technology. It has 24 RJ45 ports and 4 SFP slots for fiber optic connections. The switch’s central power control further offers greater network utility.
