  • IDIS delivers SB 507 Compliant Solution for Texas School System

Following several high-profile incidents alleging abuse of special needs students the state of Texas passed a law requiring districts to install audio and video surveillance equipment into select special education classrooms when requested. Carefully considering Edna ISD’s requirements for a highest-quality surveillance solution, capable of audio recording and coverage in compliance with the law, along with their need for a fiscally responsible solution that minimized total cost of ownership, while maximizing value, PSX recommended the IDIS Total Solution’s DirectIP™ line. Ruston Raybon, Director of Technology for Edna ISD remarked, “The IDIS combination of a fully scalable solution of next-generation technology with a lower total cost of ownership than typically seen in the industry made it the right choice for our needs.”

  • IDIS Critical Failover

IDIS has launched a powerful suite of features to bring critical failover capabilities and peace-of-mind to users of the company’s innovative technology offerings. Bringing together existing, improved, and new failover features, IDIS addresses multiple threats to crucial video surveillance operations with IDIS Critical Failover, a collection of five capabilities that strengthen the fault tolerance of your surveillance infrastructure. If any part of video surveillance infrastructure fails, it’s critical to first recognise the failure and then initiate appropriate alternative or redundant technologies to minimise loss of data. IDIS Critical Failover reduces both issues, through a multi-layered collection of capabilities spread across all the devices in your infrastructure.

  • New IDIS E-Learning options for each stage of our video surveillance lifecycle

IDIS E-Learning supports IDIS partners and installers at every stage of the surveillance technology lifecycle, from specification and design to on-site operation. First live in October, the IDIS E-Learning portal provides step-by-step tutorials to answer the most common questions posed about IDIS technology and offers select certifications for learners upon successful completion of instructional programs and related tests. Our modular video tutorials offer clear training with visual demonstrations for our most popular line ups and offerings, including DirectCX, DirectIP, and IDIS Center, and allow viewers to go at their own pace,  re-watching as many times as needed to fully master the material.   Additionally, our IDIS Center tutorials on YouTube also offer easy “how-tos” for configuration, drag and drop, and our super smooth  Smart UX PTZ controls, as well as provide insight and consumer education, such as the differences between an IDIS Super Fisheye and IDIS PTZ camera. Contact your local IDIS office or designated IDIS partner for more information.
