COPPELL, OCTOBER 13, 2015 – Global surveillance pioneer IDIS announced the partnership of the global surveillance powerhouse with Edge360 on a new Edge360 Safe City camera solution designed exclusively for law enforcement agencies. The Edge360 Safe City camera is a rapidly deployable, all-in-one solution, featuring an IDIS 1080p PTZ camera and 4G/Wi-Fi/GPS radio in a weatherproof enclosure.

This offering, both powerfully functional and convenient, enables police departments to install cameras in minutes simply by attaching one to a pole or building and connecting it to a power source. Communication back to an associated Video Management System (VMS) is handled by a cellular SIM card provided by the police department, increasing ease of use.

“There are few who work harder than our nation’s first responders and those who support their law enforcement mission,” said Keith Drummond, Senior Director of Sales at IDIS America. “IDIS is proud to bring the things that make our offerings special—including world-class quality, ease of installation and use, and dependability—to this partnership with Edge360 in service of our nation’s law enforcement agencies.”

"I am excited to announce this partnership", agreed Scott Frigaard, Vice President at Edge360. "IDIS is a longtime innovator in IP video surveillance, with a laser focus on delivering both high quality and ease of use. I believe the solution we've developed together will fill a compelling niche for law enforcement agencies across the country.”

The offering’s utility for law enforcement is enhanced by IDIS signature image quality, as the IDIS DC-S1283 series Pan/Tilt/Zoom camera delivers unparalleled image quality at all times of day and night, with 30x optical zoom enabling long range surveillance. The total camera solution is light and allows a rapid installation by a single person, providing even more value.
