KT Powertel’s depth of expertise in communications technology aligns well with IDIS’s focus on video surveillance and analytics solutions operated through a choice of video management systems and controlled via authorized access to client software or mobile applications. The acquisition, from KT Corp, will strengthen IDIS’s position in key government sector and commercial markets, and boost our R&D capability in crucial growth areas including IoT.

A series of benchmark video projects featuring powerful IDIS 12MP fisheye cameras has led to Tracey Edwards, head of security for Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, being crowned Security Manager of the Year at the 2020 Security & Fire Excellence Awards. A leading London property management company has deployed IDIS thermal cameras as part of its COVID-19 checks and precautions at several high-end facilities in the UK capital. The thermal cameras, which are accurate to within half a degree Celsius, give a useful indication that staff and visitors to premises may have raised temperatures, which is one sign of possible infection. The discreet, easy-to-use system, which was 25% cheaper than similar alternatives, has been welcomed by site visitors, tenants, and staff, and has allowed facilities to be kept open with greater confidence during the pandemic
