IDIS Middle East Expands to Meet Demand for Trusted Korean Video Tech

We are thrilled to announce we have stepped our presence in strategic markets in the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey with the confirmation of two senior appointments. Overseeing new video projects and growing potential in Turkey, Koray Ozyildirim has been appointed as Country Manager. Koray brings with him a track record of solutions sales success gained from various roles at converged and smart city technology vendors and a ten-year tenure with a leading surveillance manufacturer. Koray is already working closely with IDIS’s established supply network and is tasked to develop relationships with leading Turkish security installers and integrators. Koray reports to Dennis Choi, IDIS’s newly promoted General Manager for the MENA region. Dennis joined IDIS in 2013 when he was actively involved in the launch of the IDIS brand globally. Gallagher Integration Opens New Project Opportunities

IDIS end-to-end video now integrates off-the-shelf with Gallagher access control technology, meeting increased demand for powerful all-in-one security solutions that encompass video, access control, life safety, and building management. The Gallagher Command Centre access control and security management platform can be integrated with IDIS Solution Suite VMS for enterprise and large scale multi-site applications, while small to medium customers can choose to integrate through IDIS’s DirectIP® range of NVRs and benefit from the license free IDIS Center. Customers can choose from high quality and performance network cameras and devices, plus our analog DirectCX® HD-TVI range to leverage existing cabling, allowing a mix and match approach. As well as increasing flexible tech options for small to mid-size customers, the integrated offering meets the needs of larger applications by combining the latest video, access control, and visitor management technology without compromising on functionality and scalability. This means corporate enterprise customers can benefit from reduced upfront costs and a lower total cost of ownership (TCO), which is already giving IDIS and Gallagher systems integrators a significant competitive advantage.

How Video Monitoring Services Are Getting Smarter with AI Video

Viewing security camera feeds takes experience, attention, and focus, and even the most dedicated operators can’t maintain a high level of attention hour after hour. Fortunately, technology is here to help. In this blog, San Kim, Operations Director at Cite, explains how the latest generation of automated video monitoring tools – including line-cross detection, loitering detection, and object detection – makes remote monitoring and footage analysis far speedier and more accurate. Now system operators only get involved when they need to. Accurate analytics handle the round-the-clock vigilance, and humans only need to view a video feed and decide on what action to take when an event of genuine interest occurs. Even better: while this granular level of site monitoring was once only available to large corporate customers with dedicated control room operations, now even small businesses can benefit from the power of AI video.

Making Workplaces Work after COVID

As workplaces start to open up again following the pandemic, there is pressure on security and FM managers to make sure that premises are not only well run, welcoming and safe, but also deliver continued ROI. In this blog article, Jamie Barnfield, Senior Sales Director of IDIS Europe, looks at the role the latest AI video and access control solutions can play by giving companies the day- to-day, hour-by-hour insights, right down to team and desk level, to help them really understand how their facilities and workspaces are being used.

IDIS Partners with Hills Australia to Offer a Message of Post-Pandemic Hope

IDIS has partnered with Australian distributor Hills in a video campaign designed to strike an upbeat note as the security industry plays its part helping customers deal with COVID-19. Part of the IDIS’s Create a Better World campaign, the short film highlights the measures that have helped Australia emerge from the pandemic – the same measures that are now automated by the IDIS AI COVID Solutions that are helping to make difference for customers worldwide. Soon to be launched on Facebook, IDIS and Hills are donating an award-winning AI Box for COVID-19 (DV-2232) solution to a local community or charity who needs it the most and will be encouraging fellow Australians to get involved by suggesting good causes and entering a prize draw. IDIS AI Box for COVID Wins Place in Secure Campus Awards

The IDIS AI Box (DV-2232) for COVID-19 has won a top platinum prize in the 2021 Secure Campus Awards. The independent award scheme, run by Campus Security & Life Safety magazine, is designed to recognize outstanding security services and products. The AI Box, powered by the IDIS Deep Learning Engine with its industry-leading 98% accuracy, supports safe return-to-workplace strategies at campuses, retail premises, hotels, hospitality venues, and businesses of all sizes. The AI Box includes four powerful video analytics tools that can be used to automate COVID-safe working at sites. The award judges were impressed at how IDIS has adapted advanced analytics to meet an urgent present need, but in such a way that anticipates future priorities. For example, people counting, and occupancy monitoring are important now for reducing virus spread, but post-pandemic they will also give retailers insight into customer behavior, and facilities managers the data intelligence they need to optimize building and workspace usage.
