Next-generation virtual guarding solution named finalist for the 2016 United States Outstanding Security Performance Awards
COPPELL, July 20, 2016 – An innovative partnership of security services and technological innovation between global surveillance provider IDIS and the Arizona-based Surveillance Acquisition Response Center (SARC) has been shortlisted for the first annual United States Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) in the category of “Best Integrator/Solution Provider.”
Established to recognize and reward exceptional companies and individuals across the security industry, 2016 marks the first year the global awards program has accepted entries from the United States. To be shortlisted for the Best Integrator/Solution Provider category, the IDIS/SARC partnership met requirements to demonstrate outstanding performance in the video surveillance market, which was determined by a distinguished panel of security industry judges comprised of respected security leaders and industry veterans. The awards will be presented on September 14, 2016, in conjunction with the 62nd Annual ASIS Seminar and Exhibition in Orlando, Florida.
SARC is an emergent pioneer of the virtual guarding space, leveraging the specialized expertise of hand-selected former law enforcement, military, and intelligence professionals. The IDIS/SARC partnership delivers a virtual guarding solution in a fully reimagined way to customers and provides a solution able to work in close coordination with local law enforcement agencies to prevent and address security incidents proactively and interactively from an offsite, central location. The innovative and flexible solution designed by SARC and powered by IDIS technology utilizes IDIS’s powerfully modular IDIS Solution Suite video management software (VMS) and can incorporate any number of configurations of IDIS surveillance technologies, including those deploying IDIS DirectIP™, the flagship IDIS HD surveillance platform based on an IP framework. Additionally, SARC and IDIS provide HD-TVI analog solutions. The efforts by SARC and IDIS are highlighted in a recent feature on SourceSecurity.com.
Noted San Kim, Director at SARC Operations, “Partnering with IDIS to deliver this powerful video surveillance solution has enhanced our ability to provide its cutting edge virtual services to end-users while improving our clients’ own security experience through reduced installation times and decreased training requirements. We’re thrilled to see this innovative approach recognized in this way and look forward to the OSPA ceremony in September.”
Keith Drummond, Senior Director of Sales for IDIS America, commented, “This recognition of IDIS and SARC’s innovative approach to formally unifying such a powerful security vision with equally powerful surveillance technology is particularly meaningful to IDIS. Since our 2015 launch in the American market at ISC West in Las Vegas, we’ve sought to change the game—looking for new and industry-responsive ways to meet market needs and chart new paths to deliver on the promise of our technology.
“Being selected for the OSPA shortlist in the first year of the program, alongside other well-recognized and respected industry names, is further proof that the quality of IDIS technology and the uniqueness of our approach—especially including our work with SARC to further innovate virtual guarding—will continue to set the bar for excellence within the industry. We are very humbled to receive this recognition, particularly from the respected industry experts on the OSPA judging panel.”
