IDIS VIDEO HELPS LEADING COSMETIC AND BEAUTY BRAND EXPANDS ACROSS TÜRKIYE
IDIS video technology is playing an important role in the expansion of leading French cosmetic and beauty brand Yves Rocher across Türkiye. The company is using IDIS tech to reduce shrinkage, improve customer service, drive sales, and improve staff performance. A single
5MP IDIS fisheye camera (DC-Y6516WRX-A)
in each store is managed and controlled via IDIS Center VMS locally, and
IDIS Solution Suite
at the head office. Stores are also equipped with an
IDIS AI Box for Retail (DV-1304),
which delivers a wide range of powerful analytics functions. This includes people counting, with data from all the stores transmitted to the ISS server, then collected in Yves Rocher’s SQL server for sharing with the company’s retail enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution. This enables analysis of daily, weekly, and monthly sales turnover and visitor numbers, allowing better operational insights and more informed decision making. IDIS PUTS REPUTATION FOR ROBUST CYBERSECURITY TO THE TEST – AND WINS!
IIDIS video technology’s industry-beating reputation for
robust cybersecurity
was given a further boost last month in a series of ethical hacking attempts at the ESS+ International Security Trade Fair in Columbia. IDIS was one of only three vendors willing to submit their technology for a public Video Security Product White Hacking event and defeated all attempted attacks. There is growing concern about the vulnerability of surveillance systems to malicious hacking, and the broad nature of current cyber threats was reflected in the ten attack types featured in the tests. The IDIS NDAA-compliant products subjected to attacks were an IDIS
DR-6516P 6500 series H.265 4K recorder
and an

- popular hardware options that make up
IDIS DirectIP plug-and-play
and end-to-end video solutions. Find out more

VIDEO TACKLES ‘CRAVED’ ITEMS THEFT TREND
IDIS America Sales Director, Jason Burrows,
addresses retail security challenges,
including the increased threat of organized crime rings that engage in other illegal activities such as drug dealing and human trafficking. These criminals are more likely to target CRAVED items – an acronym that refers to items that are 1) concealable, 2) removable, 3) available, 4) valuable, 5) enjoyable, and 6) disposable. As Jason explains, items with one or more of these characteristics are more likely to be stolen, and demand for this type of merchandise is high, but video surveillance is proving vital in tackling the problem. RETAILERS TURNING TO THE LATEST GENERATION VIDEO TO REDUCE AGGRESSION AGAINST STAFF
Retailers in many countries are turning to the latest generation video solutions to reduce vulnerability to shoplifting, save on costs, and provide better protection and reassurance for workers. As Jamie Barnfield, Senior Sales Director for IDIS Europe, explains
here,
a visible up-to-date video system can also have deterrent value. Every outlet is different of course, and in planning their security measures, retailers including national chains and small independent stores must consider the specifics of the location and customer demographics. But today’s solutions give them the flexibility to make that achievable and affordable – Jamie explains
how here.
